Highland High students spend day serving others | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Students at Highland High School in Salt Lake City spent time Tuesday helping the homeless.
Students tied blankets, sorted medical gloves and hospital gowns and assembled 2,000 hygiene kits which will be delivered to homeless shelters on Father's Day.
"This has been one of the most important things that Highland has had," said Matthew Dale, Highland student. "This past couple years, our principal Paul Schulty has made a huge impact on our school and taught us how to serve, so it's really great for all our students to get invovled."
Students also wrote letters to service members around the world.
The school teamed up with Globus Relief for the service project.
