Man in clown makeup robs 7-Eleven | Crime
South Salt Lake police are looking for a man who held up a 7-Eleven at knife point Thursday night.
Officers say the man was wearing clown makeup when he held up the store at 2700 South and 430 East in South Salt Lake at about 8 p.m.
Only one customer and a cashier were in the store at the time of the robbery.
"Came in held the cashier at knife point and took an unknown amount of money. Right now we have very limited suspect information," said Sgt. Jim Anderson with the South Salt Lake Police Dept.
Officers say the man likely belongs to a local gang. He is described as a white man in his 20s who was wearing a black beanie.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Salt Lake police.
