Granite District CTE open house | Events

The following is a press release from Granite School District.

Parents, students invited to Career and Technology open house Parents and students hoping to learn more about Granite School District’s Career and Technical Education program are invited to a CTE open house hosted at the Granite Technical Institute – 2500 South State Street in the five-story building. The event is Thursday, February 9 and runs from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Attendees can view what courses are available, meet with industry representatives serving on Granite School District business advisory boards, and speak with course instructors. Granite District hosts the Granite Technical Institute which a nation-wide premiere technical facility featuring 50+ STEM career pathways for our secondary students.

Areas of study in the Career and Technical Education program include agricultural education, marketing, aviation, engineering, etc. The CTE provides courses and pathways consistent with industry standards. Exploratory courses begin in the seventh grade and subsequent courses teach students specific readiness and job skills, which can lead to employment and postsecondary education.
